One of our favorite pictures from our photography travel club’s trip to Turkey last October, 2012! This central part of Turkey (known as Cappadocia) is full of magical landscapes like this one. The pinnacle rocks are formed from thousands of years of erosion upon the sandstone and make hot air balloon rides a must! The most famous area (where we took our travel club) is known as Devrent Valley; also known as Imaginary and Pink Valley, because of its lunar like landscape. The contrast between hundreds (and we mean Hundreds!) of hot air balloons in the sky and the stunning landscape made for some incredible travel photos. Hot air ballooning in Cappadocia was a real highlight of the trip and we’ll be sure to keep it in our next adventure to Turkey!
