Sicily has a variety of archeological marvels to visit. Check out the Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo, an underground tomb where over 8,000 bodies are buried. The tunnels of the catacombs wind underneath the streets o f Palermo. Another popular archaeological sight seeing opportunity is the Greek amphitheater located in Taormina.

Bike Riding through the Country

Bike riding through Sicily is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and see some of the best sites and attractions. You can bring your own bike or rent one from one of the many vendors. The terrain in Sicily can be mountainous in some locations, which makes it perfect for mountain biking as well.

Scuba Diving

Enjoy scuba diving off one of the many islands in Sicily. The clear blue waters make it easy to see various species of fish and underwater creatures. An active volcano can even be spotted when scuba diving off Stromboli island.
