The Snakebird or Darter is a water bird that often floats low in the water in a way that only the head and neck are above the water. This makes them resemble a snake moving in the water.
These water birds can be found across the world in warm shallow waters. They hunt small fishes and occasionally dive underwater to do so and spear fish and other small prey using its sharp, slender beak.
