Did you know that kangaroos are the largest marsupial? They are indigenous to Australia and you might be shocked to know that there are more kangaroos in Australia than there are Australians!
There are four major species of kangaroo and the red kangaroos are the largest group which may reach around 1.8 meters tall. You’ll always see them hopping since their legs aren’t built to be able to walk or run like your regular animal. It’s not so bad since they can hop as fast as 35 mph!
Since there are quite a few of them, it’s not uncommon to find kangaroo meat in restaurants or supermarkets. It is, in fact, a healthier alternative because it is higher in protein while being low in fat.
