With the Amazon Rainforest still on fire after three weeks, Brazil has already called on a state of emergency. The area produces 20% of the world’s oxygen is often referred to as the lungs of the planet so we should be concerned that it is currently burning at a record rate.
The Amazon Rainforest is home to 10% of the world’s known biodiversity and the world as we know it would change so drastically if the rainforest is to disappear completely.
Let us do what we can to stop the fire and repair what we can so that we can go back and revel in its beauty.
