Travel Photo of the Day: “The Cave” in Mexico

On our 2013 Mexico group tours we encountered some pretty amazing stalactites and stalagmites in the caves and cenotes throughout the Cancun and Tulum areas. After swimming and snorkeling through some off the path cenotes (sinkholes that form caves with freshwater ponds inside), we came across a spiritual cave that had some amazing formations. The stalactites in this picture are just babies but still probably 500-1,000 years old! We’ll be heading back for another adventure in Cancun this year to explore more temples and mystical cenotes!
