Two Indian cities, Mumbai and Delhi, are notorious for having the worst traffic jams in the world. Commuters reportedly spend twice as long as they should on the road due to traffic. According to Mumbai Traffic Police Helpline, these can be attributed to the availability of installment options for car payments and the boom in car production in the country. This resulted in at least a 50% rise in cars on the road in the last decade alone.
This is why most Indians look for alternative transportation options like bikes, scooters and motorcycles.
