The Geysir is probably one of the most famous hot springs in Iceland, specifically the geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley which can be found in the south-west part of Iceland.
The Geysir is rarely active these days and can go by years without eruptions but when it does erupt, the water (boiling water) can shoot up in the air as high as 230 feet!
