Travel Photo of the Day: Devil’s Throat

Brazil group tour

A unique view of the Iguazu River is the amazing cascade system called the Devil’s Throat.  It runs through the Argentina-Brazil border with Brazil on the right and home to 95% of the river basin but only 20% of the falls while Argentina owns 80% of the fall on the left.

You can see the most spectacular view of the Devil’s Throat from a 1,200-yard footbridge to the waterfalls. The end of the footbridge offers amazing views where you are face to face with a huge wall of water over 262 feet long located between the borders of Brazil and Argentina.

When PhotoFly Travel Club was here in 2013, the falls were at record levels due to unusual amounts of rain and the Devil’s Throat washed out this footbridge so we had to view it from farther away. Rainbows were dazzling in every direction and the most amazing photographs were captured by our members!
