One-of-a-kind lodges, scenic flights, and expert guiding make this a journey that feels both effortless and deeply connected to Namibia’s raw sense of place.

Windhoek (1 Night w/ optional pre-night)

A compact, high-altitude capital where German colonial architecture meets contemporary Namibian culture, set against a backdrop of rolling khaki hills. Windhoek is an easygoing gateway city, with good coffee, lively restaurants, and a growing creative scene that rewards curious wanderers. Spend a day here to acclimatise, stock up, and ease into the wide-open rhythms of the country beyond.

- Explore the city (requires pre-night arrival): The cosmopolitan city of Windhoek serves as the capital of the country. It is home to a plethora of restaurants, shops, & entertainment venues. The city is clean, safe, and well-organised, with a colonial legacy that is reflected in its many German eateries and shops, and the widespread use of the German language. Windhoek has an interesting mix of historical architecture and modern buildings, many of which are worth a look, including the Alte Feste an old fort, the 1896 Christuskirche Christ Church, and the more contemporary Supreme Court. *For those who sign up for a pre-night , there will be time to explore Windhoek on their own or with help and suggestions from our Tour Director. See more details in the daily itinerary.

The Central Highlands at N/a'an ku sê Lodge

Perched on the edge of the rugged Khomas Hochland plateau, the region surrounding N/a'an ku sê is a cinematic expanse of golden savannah and ancient, scrub-dotted hills. This high-altitude wilderness serves as a vital ecological corridor, where the harsh beauty of the semi-desert meets the rolling thornveld of central Namibia. It is a land of vast horizons and dramatic light, situated just far enough from the capital of Windhoek to trade urban hum for the profound, crystalline silence of the African bush.

- The Lodge:  N/a'an ku sê is more than a luxury retreat; it is a world-renowned conservation powerhouse where upscale eco-villas blend seamlessly into the red-earth landscape. Travelers can swap traditional sightseeing for "carnivore feedings" and guided bush walks with orphaned cheetahs, gaining an intimate look at the sanctuary's mission to mitigate human-wildlife conflict. Between tracking rhinos and visiting the onsite research clinic, guests can retreat to the thatched lodge to sip sundowners by the infinity pool as the desert stars begin to fire up.

The Namib Desert (2 Nights)

Sossusvlei & Dead Vlei: Skeletons of the Sands

The Namib is a place of haunting beauty, where the world's tallest dunes rise in fluid, sculptural curves. This is the heart of the desert, where the iron-oxide in the sand glows a fiery orange against the stark, bleached-white floors of the ancient pans. Early morning light reveals a geological masterpiece shaped over millions of years, where the cool Benguela Current creates a mystical fog that blankets the dunes.

----------------------------

Sossusvlei: The Ancient Sea of Sand

Namibia’s most iconic landscape is a surreal world of towering apricot-colored dunes and stark white pans. Here, the silence of the Namib—the oldest desert on Earth—is broken only by the shifting of sand and the occasional call of a desert-adapted oryx. Our boutique desert lodge provides the perfect base for early-access photography, where the light plays across the ridges in a constant dance of shadow and gold.

Deadvlei & Sunrise at Dune 45:

A dreamlike clay pan where 900-year-old skeletons of camelthorn trees stand blackened against blinding white ground and towering red dunes. The scene feels almost unreal, especially in the early morning when shadows stretch, and colors intensify. Silence dominates here, amplifying the sense of isolation and deep time. It’s one of Namibia’s most haunting and photogenic landscapes, inviting slow wandering and careful observation. We arrive as the sun crests the horizon to catch the precise moment the dunes are split perfectly into light and shadow.

- Sesriem Canyon Exploration: Carved over millions of years by the Tsauchab River, this narrow gorge offers a fascinating look at sedimentary rock layers and unique geological textures that are perfect for macro-photography.

- Sunset & Night Photography: Capture the shifting gradients of dunes turning blood-red at dusk, followed by long-exposure sessions of the Milky Way over the desert's silhouette.

- Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional): For a breathtaking aerial perspective, float silently over the dune sea at dawn. This is an unparalleled opportunity to photograph the "fairy circles" and the vast scale of the desert from above, followed by a champagne breakfast in the wild.

Swakopmund & Walvis Bay (2 Nights)

Where the Desert Meets the Atlantic

Swakopmund is a surreal slice of German colonial history nestled between the thundering Atlantic surf and the Namib's edge. This coastal enclave, with its half-timbered architecture and morning mists, serves as the adventure capital of the Skeleton Coast. The cool ocean mist provides a welcome reprieve from the desert heat and creates a soft, moody light ideal for coastal landscapes. Nearby Walvis Bay adds a splash of color with its vibrant lagoons and rich marine life.

- DNA (Do Nothing at All): Relax on this stunning and unique coastline. Perhaps a sunset walk along the beach for some ultimate serenity? Plus, many exciting options below.

-  Sandwich Harbour & Walvis Bay: Desert Dunes Meet Crashing Waves (Optional): Where towering dunes spill into the Atlantic, this unforgettable journey traces Namibia’s shifting edge, combining thrilling dune drives, vast pink salt pans, Ramsar-listed wetlands alive with flamingos and pelicans, and the stark, meditative beauty of a desert that feels both raw and serene.

• See the Walvis Bay Salt Mine, the biggest evaporation pond in Africa
• Visit the coastal wetlands to photograph thousands of Greater and Lesser Flamingos as they feed in the shallow turquoise waters.
• Climb towering dunes and take in the stunning views from the top
• Enjoy a thrilling dune drive with a skilled and knowledgeable guide

Damaraland & Twyfelfontein (2 Nights)

Ancient Art & Desert Giants

Damaraland is a rugged, prehistoric landscape of sun-scorched mountains and red sandstone. It is a land of secrets, holding both the traces of ancient humans and the remarkable creatures that have adapted to survive in this arid wilderness, including the rare desert-adapted elephants.

- The Organ Pipes: Capture the geometric wonder of these dolerite columns with their vertical "pipes" and rich, rusty hues.

- Desert-Adapted Elephant Excursion: Set out in search of the elusive giants of the Huab River. These elephants travel vast distances over rocky terrain, offering unique wildlife photography opportunities.

- Twyfelfontein Rock Art: Walk through a gallery of the past at this UNESCO World Heritage site, where thousands of Stone Age engravings depict the hunts and rituals of a lost world.

- Himba Village: Glimpse an extraordinary window into the lives of one of Namibia's most ancient indigenous cultures, the semi-nomadic Himba people of the Kunene region.

Etosha National Park (3 Nights)

The Great White Place: A Wildlife Theatre

Dominating northern Namibia, Etosha is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. The park is centered around a massive salt pan so large it can be seen from space. During the dry season, the waterholes become a theater of nature, where predators and prey congregate in high numbers.

Etosha South

Etosha South delivers the park at its most elemental: vast salt pans shimmering in the heat, acacia-dotted plains, and waterholes that draw in a steady procession of wildlife. At Okaukuejo’s floodlit waterhole, elephants materialize from the dark and rhinos move like shadows, offering one of Namibia’s most atmospheric wildlife encounters. The open terrain makes for rewarding self-drives, where lions sprawl in the grass and herds of zebra stripe the horizon. Here we find the classic Etosha image play out—dust, drama, and density!

Etosha East

Etosha East offers a quieter, more intimate safari, where grassy plains and pan fringes create a softer, more varied landscape. Around Namutoni, elephant herds move steadily through open country and waterholes feel less crowded, allowing unhurried, immersive sightings. With seasonal birdlife at Fischer’s Pan and wide horizons glowing at sunset, the east carries a sense of space and subtle beauty that lingers long after the drive ends.

- Morning & Afternoon Game Drives: Venture into the park at dawn and dusk when the wildlife is most active in search of lions, leopards, rhinos, and towering giraffes. Capture the "Etosha moment" where herds of oryx and zebra congregate at waterholes, often shadowed by lions or rare black rhino.

- The Ghostly Elephants: The white calcrete dust of the pan gives the local elephants a ghostly appearance, making for otherworldly wildlife portraits against the stark, bright landscape.

- Predator Action: Search for lion prides, leopards, and cheetahs that frequent the edges of the pan, taking advantage of the high visibility and constant traffic at the water sources.
