* All Inclusive (breakfast, lunch, & dinner everyday)
* Unique, immersive, game lodges & luxury tented camps throughout
* Privately guided small group tour as always!

Aberdares National Park & Mt Kenya

Ringed by the chill and misty moorlands of the third highest mountain range in Kenya, the atmospheric Aberdares National Park was dubbed ‘Scotland with Lions’ by the early colonialists. As well as lions, the park also offers elephants, lichen-hung forests, spectacular waterfalls and trout-filled streams. Fantastic lodges fill the park with unparalleled views of Mt Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa, and the sparkling lakes of the Great Rift Valley!

Wildlife: Observe and photograph elephants, buffalos, leopards, rhinos, hyenas, and more right from the comfort of The Arks viewing decks.

The Rugged Three: Samburu, Shaba, & Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Beautiful natural springs and lush green in the middle of an otherwise arid landscape, these rugged and remote wildlife reserves provide some of the best and most colorful game viewing in the country. Truly off the path because it’s virtually cut off to all but those with access to a 4 wheel drive vehicle or an aircraft, it’s wonderfully free from the crowded traffic of the Masai Mara.

Shaba & Buffalo Springs Wildlife: Common sightings of elephant and lion will be at the top of our list during this “photographic hunt” along with Kenya’s ‘northern five’; oryx, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, and lesser kudu.

Samburu Wildlife: The reserve is renowned for its rare species unique to the park, most notably the long necked gerenuk, Somali ostrich, & Beisa onyx.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Small in size but high in wildlife, Nakuru is the most famous of the Great Rift Valley lakes, and the ideal stopover en-route to the Masai’s great migration. Perhaps most famous as the home to a shifting population of over one million flamingos, it’s also Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary; sightings of both black and white rhino almost guaranteed!

Wildlife: Aside from the majestic rhinos, we’ll have the best chance to spot the elusive leopard here! Other wildlife include lions (often in the trees!), hippos, the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, Colobus monkey, numerous plains game. Oh yeah, and 450 species of birds

Masai Mara & the Great Migration

kenya group tourrWorld renowned for the breathtaking spectacle of ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’, the awe inspiring annual migration of the wildebeest, the Mara is Kenya’s most visited protected area. Technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, the Mara constitutes only 4% of the entire Serengeti ecosystem but its rolling grasslands, meandering rivers, and towering escarpments offer one of the world’s most rewarding and evocative wildlife arenas. Of all the places to experience & photograph the *”Big Five” in their natural stomping grounds, the Mara stands alone as king of the parks. *Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, and Rhino

* We’ll be here during the migration months when the rolling plains around our camp are teeming with wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras. The camp is situated right in the center of their migration path!

Morning & Afternoon Game Drives: The creatures of the bush are most active in the morning & early evening hours, taking the middle of the day to find shade and stay cool. Our 2 days here will be spent with early morning and late afternoon game drives with ample time in between for lunch, a dip in the pool, cocktails, and a cat nap (no pun intended).

Optional Masai Village Visit:

We’ll encounter the iconic & colorful culture of these fascinating people. With a glimpse into the lives of the semi-nomadic Masai, we’ll get a sense of the unique traditions still practiced today along with some awesome images!

– All Taxes, Transfers, & Fees included
International airfare not included but we’re happy to help you find the best flights as always. Flying into & out of Nairobi (NBO)
Roommate Pairing to save money as always!

Travel Club Update: COVID-19

PhotoFly Travel Club takes our current global pandemic extremely seriously. As such, a number of our 2020 and 2021 adventures have had to be cancelled & postponed like most in our travel industry. We want nothing more than all of our members to stay healthy & happy during these trying times. We hope everyone is playing their part by social distancing as much as possible. The more people who properly follow this crucial tactic in our country, and everyone around the world, the faster we will conquer and come out stronger & better prepared when this happens again.

As of today, we remain hopeful that travel will become feasible and safe again for most travelers early next year. In fact many countries, including most of Europe, have been on the decline for months now.  It’s important to acknowledge that these are mainly countries that have enacted strict social distancing measures much sooner and in a more timely manner than the USA has been able to. Good news is most of the countries on our upcoming calendar fit this description! For more details about the predictions and scientific modeling in each state AND many countries around the world go here: (you can select any state or country for the location specific predictions)

Enhanced Procedures & Safety Measures

As we get ready to explore the world with you again soon, our travel club has begun to implement new guidelines and practices for the “Post-Covid World”. Some of them are listed below. Safety is #1 and the ability to experience a destination without limitations due to the pandemic is #2

1. Country Specific Qualifications must be met to run the tour. Some of these include:
a. Daily infection incidence must show stable or decreasing trends for at least 30 days
b. Population Infected must be equal to or lower than .007% per 100K people
c. Hospital resources in country must be sufficient for predicted modeling at least 3 months after the start date of said trip.
3. PhotoFly Enhanced Safety Practices Including:
a. Masks for everyone in vehicles and other enclosed spaces
b. Sanitizer available at all times/ Surface Cleanings done constantly
c. Social distancing practices as much as possible & no contact health/temperature checks
d. Small Groups Only = Lower Risk. Only time will tell and we’re following the situation very carefully. Our pledge is to share nothing but scientific evidence and advice given by the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO). We will base our decisions in the coming months solely on these two sources.

We know this is going to be a difficult time for all of us, in a myriad of ways. PhotoFly Travel Club is committed to building amazing experiences for years to come. We will get through this together and come out on the other side with even more amazing trips.

We wish everyone nothing but the best navigating this crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all to remain healthy and persevere until we overcome.

Much love and gratitude to all of our members,

Steve, Andrew, Catalin, Michelle, Raya, & the rest of our PhotoFly Team!
