Despite its cold and rather hostile climate, Iceland boasts one of the most spectacular landscapes in Europe. Travelers to Iceland can tour the untainted winter landscape and take amazing travel photos.
Here are three of the most spectacular natural sites in Iceland excellent for travel photography:
* The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa, meaning that the water is warmed by the internal heat of the earth. Visitors can not only experience the beauty of the lagoon, but also relax in the reputedly therapeutic waters and photograph its spectacular surroundings.
* Tour 300 km of Iceland’s landscape by going on one of the famous Golden Circle tours. Golden Circle attractions range from the Gullfoss waterfall to numerous geysers and the national park of Thingvellir. Plentiful photography opportunities of landscapes like nowhere else on earth are around every corner.
* Vatnajökull National Park covers 12% of Iceland’s total area and is the single biggest national park in Europe. Snap shots of the titular glacier plus picturesque hills, mountains, and running waters are everywhere.
Of course, these places are just the tip of the iceberg when traveling to Iceland. For photo lovers a tour to Iceland is a must and our travel club will be planning a trip here soon!
