Have you ever been on a camping trip and forgot to bring the most important thing of all: spare batteries! Nowadays, it is all about pictures or it did not happen. No matter how wild your tale may sound, if you have couple of shots to prove it, you are in for business. But all of this is pretty much downright impossible if you forgot to bring spare batteries for the camera, or more likely nowadays your power bank. Why not charge your phone/camera at the car? Because if you can camp near your car, it isn’t really camping. Ideally you want to camp as far away from the road as possible. This will probably add some hiking to the equation, but that is what it’s all about. So what should you do to reduce the probability of forgetting important items for camping or any other trip? Start by making a list of items that you will need on the trip. We know this seems utterly boring and unnecessary, but this is essential. And if you happen to have a smartphone – which 99% of the traveling population has – you can use Siri, Andriod, or Cortana to take down the list. Just dictate the items and you’re done in a few minutes.
Once you have the list, it’s time to select an appropriate bag. Great if you already have a pack, otherwise you can buy a sturdy backpack from BackCountry using these coupons. They have an excellent weight distribution system which will keep you from getting strains or cramps. Just roll up the items and put them into the bag. Tick off the items one by one so that you don’t leave anything out. This is just the start. There is a whole art to packing efficiently and we have made just the right packing tips infographic to ease your way through it. Read through and master the art of packing!
