First is a long-awaited epic journey throughout Uganda in search of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees! We took our club here in 2018 and members have been requesting we put it back on the calendar since. Here it is! More details on this all-inclusive gem are on the trip page and below.

And we promised you another departure to Portugal & the Azores since the first 2024 group sold out in a couple of days. Sign up with your deposits ASAP so you don’t miss your chance this time.

A rare spot for a female sharing a room has become available on our Inca Adventure throughout Peru. Any takers?

All Inclusive Uganda Gorilla Safari

October 4th – 11th, 2024

Please fill out the form at the top of the trip page to receive the daily itinerary:

AND DON’T FORGET to check out our awesome 5-Day Extension Below for more chimp encounters at Kibale National Park “Primate Capital of the World”, volcanoes, & Murchison Falls National Park.

  • 7 night/8 Day Uganda Gorilla Safari
  • All Inclusive (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Everyday)
  • 1 Complimentary Massage
  • Gorilla Trekking Permit INCLUDED (700.00 USD Value!)
  • Luxury Jungle Safari Lodges & Boutique Waterfront Lodges
  • Domestic Airfare INCLUDED: Entebbe → Kihihi
  • Private, expert safari guides & vehicles throughout
  • All ground and water transfers as listed in the itinerary INCLUDED

* Bwindi National Park:  For most, the jungle in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the highlight where coming face to face with endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat is one of the most profound wildlife encounters you will ever experience. Bwindi is considered the most diverse forest in Uganda, home to over 120 mammals, 345 species of birds, 200 species of butterflies, and 160 species of trees. The park contains almost half of the world’s population of the endangered Mountain Gorilla, making it an extremely valuable conservation site!

* Gorillas Face to Face: Coming face to face with mountain gorillas is a rare wildlife encounter & lifetime experience!  Expert guides and trackers will accompany us on an early morning trek into the dense rainforest on the mountain slopes. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare, with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. The opportunity to come within a few yards of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and photographing their day-to-day activities is an experience we’ll never forget! (*An optional 2nd trek permit can be purchased for $700.00 on our last day in Bwindi National Park)

* Optional Batwa Pygmies Encounter: Discover the “Caretakers of the Primeval Bwindi Forest” 5,000 year-old-culture’s traditions and learn how these native tribal inhabitants survived in the forest as hunter-gatherers – what they ate, how they hunted, the plants & herbs they used, and how they dance, sing & socialize. Best of all, our visit helps assist these communities in need with an additional source of income!

* Queen Elizabeth National Park: Surrounded by the magical Rwenzori Mountains, Queen Elizabeth NP is truly nature’s wonderland with stunning vistas and landscapes as far as the eye can see.  The meandering Kazinga Channel flows endlessly between the two giant lakes: Lake George and Lake Edward, providing a vital water source for a plethora of flora and fauna, including chimpanzees, tree-climbing lions, elephants, cape buffalo, hippos, and flamingos (among 612 species of birds!).

* Chamburu Gorge Chimpanzee Trekking: The forest is alive with noise – chimpanzees can be quite active and may move quickly through the forest canopy…or, if we’re lucky, we may find them resting or eating near the forest floors. It’s an exhilarating walk in beautiful scenery!  The gorge is a pristine area where one large troupe of chimpanzees reside, together with resident game that wanders into the area (including elephant, buffalo, antelope, and other small species). An amazing day awaits full of once-in-a-lifetime experiences and lots of photographs!

* In Search of Tree Climbing Lions: While on a safari game drive, we’ll scout for the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha region within Queen Elizabeth NP. They like to rest in large fig trees in this remote southern extremity of the park. Tree-dwelling lions prey on the Topi, Uganda Kob, and (if feeling confident!) Cape Buffalo which graze Ishasha’s beautiful acacia-studded savanna.

Uganda All Inclusive Extension (Optional)

October 11th – 16th, 2024

It would be a shame to miss this off-the-path extension to our incredible Uganda Gorilla Safari! Continue onto the Volcano studded Kibale National Park, known as the “Primate Capital of the World” where chimp sitings have a 90% success rate! We’ll finish at Murchison Falls National Park teeming with exotic game animals including elephants, lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and a variety of antelope. Aside from the great safaris, the real highlight is what the park is named after, Murchison Falls; where the longest river in Africa, the Nile, forces its way through a narrow opening and falls over 140ft down into a beautiful lake! This extension is also all-inclusive with delicious meals and drinks included throughout.

Travel Club Update: COVID-19

PhotoFly Travel Club takes our current global pandemic extremely seriously. As such, a number of our 2020 and 2021 adventures have had to be cancelled & postponed like most in our travel industry. We want nothing more than all of our members to stay healthy & happy during these trying times. We hope everyone is playing their part by social distancing as much as possible. The more people who properly follow this crucial tactic in our country, and everyone around the world, the faster we will conquer and come out stronger & better prepared when this happens again.

As of today, we remain hopeful that travel will become feasible and safe again for most travelers early next year. In fact many countries, including most of Europe, have been on the decline for months now.  It’s important to acknowledge that these are mainly countries that have enacted strict social distancing measures much sooner and in a more timely manner than the USA has been able to. Good news is most of the countries on our upcoming calendar fit this description! For more details about the predictions and scientific modeling in each state AND many countries around the world go here: (you can select any state or country for the location specific predictions)

Enhanced Procedures & Safety Measures

As we get ready to explore the world with you again soon, our travel club has begun to implement new guidelines and practices for the “Post-Covid World”. Some of them are listed below. Safety is #1 and the ability to experience a destination without limitations due to the pandemic is #2

1. Country Specific Qualifications must be met to run the tour. Some of these include:
a. Daily infection incidence must show stable or decreasing trends for at least 30 days
b. Population Infected must be equal to or lower than .007% per 100K people
c. Hospital resources in country must be sufficient for predicted modeling at least 3 months after the start date of said trip.
3. PhotoFly Enhanced Safety Practices Including:
a. Masks for everyone in vehicles and other enclosed spaces
b. Sanitizer available at all times/ Surface Cleanings done constantly
c. Social distancing practices as much as possible & no contact health/temperature checks
d. Small Groups Only = Lower Risk. Only time will tell and we’re following the situation very carefully. Our pledge is to share nothing but scientific evidence and advice given by the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO). We will base our decisions in the coming months solely on these two sources.

We know this is going to be a difficult time for all of us, in a myriad of ways. PhotoFly Travel Club is committed to building amazing experiences for years to come. We will get through this together and come out on the other side with even more amazing trips.

We wish everyone nothing but the best navigating this crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all to remain healthy and persevere until we overcome.

Much love and gratitude to all of our members,

Steve, Andrew, Catalin, Michelle, Raya, & the rest of our PhotoFly Team!
